Dec 06, 2012 Monte Vista World Review Hey guys, AznSensei here reviewing the recent addition to The Sims 3 Store: Monte Vista. Utilization: 10/10- This world is a definite plus to utilize with ANY expansion pack (well except Showtime, Late Night and 'maybe' Supernatural). Download Sims 3: Monte Vista for Free [Download & Installation Tips] Hi again from C.W. Today I'm going to give you some 'tips' on how to Download and Install the exciting new expansion pack for Sims 3 which is -Monte Vista- this new expansion pack will give you a new place to explore which as I read is full of money and hot villas all for you!
The world itself is fairly large. It doesn't have enough 64x64 lots, but few EA worlds do. It does have several vacant 60x60s and enough 20x30s that I was able to put my favorite venues and shops into the game without feeling cramped. The neighborhoods are arranged very logically and I'm not having much trouble getting around, as compared to how I'm still flailing in Sunlit Tides ages after getting it. The 'downtown' is a walled city that reminds me of San Gimignano in how it sits atop a hill, with other lots arranged around it in concentric rings going down the hillside. I'm touched by how the world comes with plenty of starter homes--one right in the middle of town.
Its rabbitholes (the term means 'a building your Sim goes into but you can't see inside,' like the hospital and the bookstore) are simply incredible. The sports arena is now a Colosseum. The business building looks like Il Duomo of Florence. The school even has an Italian name. I can't say enough about the ambience--it definitely looks Tuscan.
The object set is somewhat sparse, but useful in so many different ways. Everything from potted plants to arches is represented and it's all pretty thematic. I especially like the bistro chairs. Most of the set is intended for building and world design, so it includes a lot more things like ruin walls and columns, street signs, bridges, even a very cool lighthouse. One item that history lovers will especially like is an epically large painting with many different stencils, allowing the one item to have many different looks. And all of the stencils are closely based on real world art. Spot the masterpiece! There are also a couple of clothes and hairs. The women's clothes were nice, but I didn't care for the one option men got. I can't speak to the hairs because of a glitch with the software that prevents people from using or seeing the hairs in their games. Hopefully EA will fix that post-haste, because the women's hair looks gorgeous.
The premade families are, as one might expect, nicely done, with unique personalities and backstories hinted at in the usual EA fashion. More than a few Simmers have already noticed that almost all of the adult male Sims are incredibly handsome. The premade homes and walk-in venues are beautiful, undoubtedly some of EA's best and finest work yet. I found it quite easy to adapt the venues to Showtime and Late Night needs--a coffeehouse easily adapts into a real Showtime coffeehouse for performances, for example.
Seasons users please note: The Store team has made available for free a festival lot that takes the place of an existing park lot on the outskirts of town. You will need to download and put it into your game yourself. I've played the festival there and it's really cute. Google for 'Sims 3 Monte Vista festival lot.'
As to the physical disk itself, this is probably one of the wonkiest ways I've ever seen to install a game. Technically, everything's on the disk, but to move the files from disk to your Launcher, the installer needs an internet connection to make contact with EA's site. You sign in to your regular Sims 3 Store account, type in the registration code on the disk, and then the installer copies the files over. If you refuse to get a Store account on the Sims 3 site, or you don't have an internet connection, DO NOT BUY THIS DISK!
I recommend this title to any and all Sims 3 lovers. If you buy only one world, and you're into Italy at all, this is the one you'll want.
Store itemMonte Vista is the seventh world from The Sims 3 Store, released for purchase in The Sims 3 Store on December 6, 2012. Monte Vista is an Italian-themed world, with hills surrounding the world and a coast which leads to an open sea.
The world is available for purchase through retail stores, or through The Sims 3 Store. In The Sims 3 Store, it can only be purchased in cash and not with SimPoints. However, part of the purchase price of the world is a bundle of SimPoints for use in The Sims 3 Store. Currently the two bundles are:
- Monte Vista, plus 100 SimPoints, at US$25[1]
- Monte Vista, plus 1900 SimPoints, at US$35[2]

Recipes from the Beyond
Vol. 1
I know what you’re thinking. What does a dead guy know about baking? This dead guy knows it all. I’m Valentine Monty and the Montys have been a part of Monte Vista for as long as anyone can remember. Now that I’ve gotten my second chance I’m giving you all of the “to die for” Monty dishes in my new series: Recipes from the Beyond!
Now here’s the recipe for my world famous Pizza Margherita and it all starts with a fresh lump of dough and a wood fire oven:
- 1. Pull a lump of lightly-oiled dough from your refrigerator.
- 2.Lay the dough on the counter and knead it carefully and thoroughly until fairly flat
- 3.Toss the dough in the air to achieve perfect flatness and perfect lift.
Now for the hard part:
- 4. When the dough is flat, sprinkle it with “Monte Vista Magic Seasonings”. This invisible magic seasoning is a MUST for any wood fire oven recipe.
- 5. Once properly sprinkled use the paddle to place the pizza in the Wood Fire Oven. Safety First!
- 6. Cook until nice and toasty.
What about the cheese and tomatoes you ask? What did you think we were doing with all of that sprinkling? When your pizza comes out of the oven, the toppings will be perfectly arranged making for a *perfect* pizza margherita. That’s it from me. Until next time, Buonasera!

- Regalia Court - Regalia means the privileges (e.g. executive power) and the insignia (e.g. crowns and other symbols of office) characteristic of a sovereign, or ruler, in Latin.
